The Ecofem Tales Nature Poetry Meeting holds today Thursday, 24 September 2026, bringing together two African voices in a conversation on the power of stories and poetry to inspire environmental healing.

Our Founder, Francisca Okwulehie, will be in conversation with Leinyuy The Poet, exploring how creative expression can help us imagine, understand, and work towards a healthier Earth.

Francisca Okwulehie is a Nigerian author, philosopher, and founder of the Ecofem Tales Environmental Foundation. Through her work, she explores African women’s environmental stories and the role of storytelling in ecological restoration, environmental awareness, and collective action.

Leinyuy The Poet is a Cameroonian spoken-word artist and poet whose work explores women’s rights, children’s wellbeing, peace, and realities that often go unheard. In this conversation, she will share her perspective on poetry as a tool for environmental awareness, advocacy, and healing.

Together, they will explore a powerful question:

Can stories and poetry help us heal the Earth?
